Visiting… Walla Walla Friends, Wineries, and Antiques…
Last week Jill, Charlotte and I drove past the Tero Estates and Flying Trout Winery tasting room, located on the main floor of Walla Walla’s Marcus Whitman Hotel. We could see that our wine-making friend, Ashley Trout, was pouring. When we finished our errands, we stopped in to visit…
We tasted through a number of wines and Charlotte purchased a bottle to take back to Tacoma with her. One of the great things about being from the Valley of the Two Wallas is that Charlotte can say, my friend Ashley made this wine…
We then stepped next door to the Locati Cellars tasting room. We visited with my friend Mike Locati, tasted some wine and “visited” some of the antiques that he had purchased from Shady Lawn Antiques for his tasting room.
When Mike opened his Marcus Whitman Tasting Room, he purchased an oak PO Office mail sorting cabinet for storing/displaying wine. Then he purchased a marble topped late 1800′s walnut cabinet. Mike wanted to put a cigar humidor/display cabinet on top of the walnut cabinet. So I refinished the cigar cabinet so that both pieces would match each other.
While we were in Locati’s, Mike talked to me about a wine display cabinet that he was looking for — I think that I was able to “sneak” in a little “work” with pleasure — that’s just the way that it is in Walla Walla….

Great Photography.
