a beautiful Fall walk to Shady Lawn…

November 8, 2011

It has been a beautiful Fall here in the Valley of the Two Wallas.  The trees and shrubs are still proudly showing off their brightly colored leaves.  The sun even peaks out from time-to-time to further illuminate the reds, yellows and oranges.  It is almost as if the foliage is putting forth one final brilliant act of defiance before the cold damp grey monochromatic days of Winter arrive…

I took all of these pictures while walking to Shady Lawn this morning…

red brick and even redder leaves...

A bit further down the block…

the early morning sun lit this tree up like an orange neon sign...

These trees are equally as impressive in the Spring…

reds and yellows....

This four foot tall metal insect stands guard at the edge of the Whitman College Organic Garden…now that is what you call "looking bug eyed"...

Will anyone sit in these chairs again this Fall?

Our Four Seasons produce scenes like these and are one of the reasons that Walla Walla is such a beautiful place to live!  Come and visit us in WW but don’t forget your camera…
