Walla Walla Wine… Karen LaBonte’s Trio Vintners Tasting Room Opening
Last weekend Karen LaBonte opened her Trio Vintners tasting room. The tasting room is located in the historic Drumheller Building, 102 South Second Street (between Poplar and Alder) in downtown WW.
Karen has an elegant decorating style and a vision that matches her taste for great wine. She “inherited” a tasting room in the newly remodeled historic Drumheller building. It doesn’t seem like anyone could transform a space like that in a significant way. No one should ever doubt Karen, she did an amazing job!
Jill, Kellie and I dropped in on Karen at the end of her opening day, last Thursday. Rand Sealey and his lovely wife had just tasted through Karen’s offerings and were purchasing some wine.
Rand has 40 years experience in the wine industry as the former owner of Seattle’s Esquin Wine Merchants. Rand and his wife are also neighbors that live near Shady Lawn Antiques. Rand is writing an on-line publication called a “Review of Washington Wines”. We felt a little bit like “wine commoners”, compared to them, although they never made us feel that way.
Please visit Karen, at Trio Vintners, you will enjoy your experience!
